Beth Gordon is thrilled to begin her 35th year of teaching at Rustburg Elementary.  Being able to serve the community in which she grew up brings her much joy!  Here are a few things about Mrs. Gordon: she is a graduate of Liberty University.  She and her husband have 4 grown children, who are all married,  so they are officially "empty nesters".  Their newest  role in life is being "Nana and Pop" to their two grandsons which they love immensely!! Mrs. Gordon feels blessed to begin a new year in 2nd grade at RES!

Hi RES Family! My name is Emily Hill, and I received my Bachelors of Education in Elementary Education from Liberty University! I have been teaching at RES since 2024! In my free time I love to read, go on walks, and spend time with my friends and family! I am looking forward to another wonderful year at RES!

My name is Alexis Soyars, and I am so excited to begin my third year teaching at Rustburg! I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Lynchburg. I just got married to my highschool sweetheart Josh in October 2024. I am also a proud dog mom to my sweet doberman, Zeus, and in my free time I love to travel and spend time with friends and family.  I’m looking forward to an incredible year and am so thankful for the amazing team I get to work with!
